HFOs

Hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) are the fourth-generation of fluorinated materials that are used as refrigerant, blowing agents, propellants, and solvents. They have ultra-low global warming potentials, and are non-ozone-depleting.

HFO Blends

Honeywell’s HFO blended refrigerants combine low or reduced global warming potential refrigerants with increased energy efficiency.

HFCs

Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) are frequently used as refrigerants, blowing agents, propellants and solvents. They were developed to be non-ozone depleting alternatives to chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).

HCFCs

Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFCs) are used as refrigerants, blowing agents, and propellants, but are being phased out due to their high global-warming potentials.

CFCs

U.S. production stopped December 31, 1995. Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) were widely used as refrigerants, blowing agents, propellants, and solvents. They have been replaced with products such as hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs).
